Milia
A milium cyst, referred to as milia when occurring in groups, is a small yellow or white bump that can form on many different facial regions, including the nose, cheeks, lips and eyelids, and in several other places such as the torso. Milia skin treatment options can address these concerns effectively.
These noticeable cysts appear when keratin – a natural protein located in the hair, skin and nails – ends up trapped beneath the skin, with certain clothing or bedding turning these from harmless blemishes into potential sources of irritation. Milia can appear at any time and can be found on any skin type, often occurring first in newborn babies when they then are referred to as milk spots.
