Rosacea / Facial Redness
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that primarily affects the face, causing symptoms like persistent facial redness and discomfort, especially when the skin contacts water or certain skincare products. Redness typically appears on areas such as the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin and can worsen with specific foods and substances like alcohol, caffeine and cheese. Effective rosacea treatment can manage these symptoms and provide relief from discomfort.
Alongside redness, rosacea can lead to thickened skin, swelling and even sores around the eyes. Women and those with lighter skin tones are more frequently affected, though men may experience more intense symptoms.
